Cricket: England - The Emotional Roller Coaster

This time last week the sky was the limit for England's youngsters. Victory over New Zealand in the Twenty-20 series had the England senior players buzzing. Now they are at rock-bottom. Thrashed by ten wickets in the second One Day International. In a performance marked by poor quality decision-making. Poor quality running between the wickets. Poor quality bowling. Poor quality shot making. This was a side that seemed absent of it's collective mind.
From over-hyping their Twenty-20 win to one of their worst ever One Day defeats. This is a team of extremes. Right now the England management team and players must press the reset button. Something is amiss in this teams mentality.
It may be the lack of clarity from above. It may be the lack of experience of the captain. It may be the lack of leadership from senior players. It may be the lack of a voice for the younger players.
Soon, players will be playing, simply to salvage their personal reputations, rather than for the good of the team. Or has it come to that already?
