The Confidence Coach's Maxims
Confidence Maxims
Here are some simple considerations and understandings around the theme of Confidence that influence the confidence coaching programmes:
The Quiet State...
Natural confidence is a quiet state and feeling. Loud, extrovert people are not necessarily displaying confidence.
Growth...
In the presence of human warmth (from you to you, or from others to you) confidence grows. In the presence of coldness, confidence diminishes. Warmth = trust, encouragement, belief etc. Coldness = cynicism, arrogance, criticism
Natural Confidence...
Natural Confidence is within you at all times. It sometimes gets overlaid by doubt.
Self-Encouragement...
You must be ready to give yourself support and encouragement. The way you think about yourself will add to your confidence or diminish it. It is OK to be encouraging to yourself.
Develop Will Power ...
Going the extra mile sometimes, will help you build the power you need, to break out of your personal comfort zone
Small Success...
Don't aim too high. Overwhelm can crush confidence. Small targets, easy to achieve, build the well of success
Confidence Messages...
Get strong support. Good people will happily help you and encourage you, if only you would ask.
The Power of NO...
Take a position about what you will have and won't have. You do not have to be subject to those things which you do not want. Be an influencor not an influencee.
Prepare for Success...
Before you engage in matters of consequences, focus on what will go right not what will go wrong. Chances are that it will!
Learn...
Don't keep beating yourself when things go wrong or think of yourself as a failure of you fail. Remove the stigma of blame from yourself. If you fail, don't attach yourself to the result. Learn from it.
How To Think ...
It's easy to fall into the trap of feeling life is unfair and unjust. Whilst this may seem true, it's not a mindset to attract success. If you think of yourself as a victim, you will attract bullies.
Watch Your Language...
If you tell yourself that you are bad/inferior/useless/not good enough eventually you will believe it and behave accordingly.
The Right Thing...
Confidence doesn't come from trying to impress others. It comes from doing the right thing at the right time for the right reasons
Cool Attitudes...
Naturally confident people don't have to advertise about how good they are. It's obvious by their actions.
The Confidence Presence...
In the presence of confidence doubt cannot exist.
The Oil...
Confidence is the oil that turns the wheels between you and your natural talent.
